Nationals of many countries are eligible for visa-free entry or visa on arrival, while other travellers may need to apply for an e-visa before departure through the official Hayya platform.

Visa-free Entry and Visa on Arrival
Citizens of more than 95 countries may benefit from visa-free entry or obtain a visa on arrival when entering Qatar.
Depending on nationality, visitors may be granted a visa waiver upon arrival ; a short-term tourist or business stay ; a Single or multiple-entry authorisations.
Conditions generally include:
- A passport valid for at least 3 to 6 months
- A confirmed return or onward ticket
- Proof of accommodation
- Health insurance in some cases
Some nationalities may also be required to book accommodation through approved platforms such as Discover Qatar.
Please note that:
- Citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries do not require a visa to enter Qatar.
- For citizens from countries non-eligible for a free visa on arrival, the Tourist Visa will cost QAR 100.
Hayya E-visa Platform
Qatar’s official visa system is now managed through the Hayya platform, originally launched for the FIFA World Cup and now used for tourism, business and event-related travel.
Through the Hayya portal, eligible visitors can:
- Apply for an e-visa online
- Upload travel and accommodation documents
- Pay visa fees securely
- Track their application status
- Receive their electronic entry permit
The platform is accessible online and through the Hayya mobile application.
Business and Event Travel
Visitors attending exhibitions, conferences or business meetings in Qatar may travel under:
- Visa-free entry
- Tourist or business e-visas
- Event-related entry permits
