Interview of MC2 Technologies

1/ Could you describe your company as well as the products / solutions that you will be presenting during Milipol Qatar 2022?

Created from a research center of Lille 1 University specialized in microwave and microelectronics, MC2 Technologies has become in a few years a key player on the global markets of anti-drone, counter RC-IED, hidden object detection and very high speed secure telecommunications.

Thanks to its mastery of microwave technologies, the company now offers and will be presenting during Milipol Qatar a complete solution for anti-drone warfare (C-UAS), a new system against radio-controlled improvised explosive devices (RC-IEDs) and a portable passive millimeter wave body scanner system – MM-Imager – which is part of the solutions labelled for the security of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and which allows the fast and full security check of flows of people. These systems were entirely designed and manufactured in France, in the company’s premises near Lille.

2/ Why did you choose to participate at Milipol Qatar 2022?

Will you be presenting innovative / new products or solutions during Milipol Qatar 2022? MC2 Technologies’ participation at Milipol Qatar exhibition, one of the world’s most important event for national security, will be the opportunity to highlight its latest developments, and to respond to the potential issues faced by Qatar through state-of-the-art solutions: - MM-Imager is a THz passive detection camera that allows real-time detection of hidden objects on individuals. It is an unique innovative solution, as it can detect any type of objects hidden between body and cloths (metals, ceramic knife, explosive gel, liquid and powder) thus increasing the efficiency of security checking and also following the latest technologies and materials used by terrorist organizations. Unlike traditional technologies, MM-Imager is a passive solution that does not emit any wave, it is therefore completely harmless to people.

- DNA Drone is a complete solution for detection, identification and neutralization of UAV threats. It is composed of three complementary technological blocks that can work together or in stand-alone configuration : o a brand new type 4D THz radar specifically designed for drone detection, o a radio-frequency sensor based on artificial intelligence to detect the drone and its pilot o jamming devices, MAJES and/or NEROD, for drone neutralization. These innovative solutions perfectly respond to Qatar security needs and other countries of the region. MC2 Technologies’ products provide law enforcement agencies with the best tools to ensure the safety of citizens against new terrorist modus operandi (e.g ceramic knife attacks, explosive drone attacks).

4/ Where do you intend to grow your business in the future (countries or verticals)?

MC2 Technologies’ anti-drone solutions are already used by French Armed Forces and internal security forces, as well as export customers with high requirements (MOI, MOD). These solutions meet the standards of demanding users, particularly when it comes to major sporting events security.
